Special Congress: AAC expels Sowore, 28 others

The African Action Alliance (AAC) has expelled its estranged National Chairman, Mr Omoyele Sowore, and 28 others from the party.

The decision was taken at the party’s Special Congress held at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, Imo State capital, on Friday.

The 29 affected members were national officers who were alleged of gross misconduct and a decision was taken to remove them from their positions and expel them from the party.

Dr Leonard Nzenwa was elected to replace Sowore who was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) after a court order was granted to the body to conclude investigation on allegations of collaborating with others to topple the government of President Muhammadu Buhari through the ‘RevolutionNow’ campaign.
