Born on December 15, 1968 in Iwo, Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State, Engineer Olufemi Abiodun Balogun is a building engineer. A graduate of Quantity Surveying and Building Technology from the Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, he also studied Civil Engineering with bias for Building Construction and Supervision at the Lagos State Polytechnic.
Engineer Balogun specializes in building construction, Properties’ Development & Consultancy, as well as Land/Quantity Surveying.
He has been practicing the foregoing professions for over 22 years and has built a wide range of network of connections with several corporate, government and public organisations/establishments.
PUBLIC SERVICE
Balogun served the Lagos State Government as the Technical official in the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) from 2007 to 2011. in 2010, he supervised the massive renovation of the site of the bomb explosion which occurred in 2000 in Ejigbo, Ejigbo Local Development Council Area(LCDA) of Lagos under the Raji Fashola administration.
He also supervised the construction of the first Relief Camp built by the Fashola-led administration for disaster victims at Agbowa Ikosi in Ikorodu Local Government area in 2011.
PRIVATE PRACTICE
He has single-handedly financed and developed many properties including shops, residential buildings, corporate office buildings for businesses in Ojodu, Ogba, Surulere and Lekki axes of Lagos, to mention but a few.
He has also worked with Ojodu LCDA and did the renovation of the LCDA’s Town hall and Shopping Complex under Honourable Julius Oloro’s administration who is the current Chairman of Ojodu LCDA.
Engineer Balogun also worked as a Personal Assistant to Honourable Michael Akindele, Senior Special Assistant Governor Raji Fashola on the Board of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA). Akindele also served as the General Manager of LASEMA under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration.
Engineer Balogun currently manages his own construction/estate development & management company, Femi Abiodun Balogun & Co. The company is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with CRBN number 167878.
He is also the Church Engineer of the Christ Miracle Church Mission (CMCM) worldwide with headquarters at Akiode area of Lagos and currently manages over 150 hectares of land for estate development for the church.
Engineer Balogun is happily married with lovely children.
