Kwara Pastor in trouble for allegedly raping three sisters

Magistrate Fatimah Salihu of a Magistrate Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, has remanded a pastor, Makanjuola Olabisi, at the Federal Correctional Facility for allegedly having carnal knowledge of three biological sisters.

The police report on the matter alleged that Olabisi preached to the victims to attend his church, the Revolutionary Insight Church, located at Agba Dam, Ilorin sometime in 2018.

The accused thereafter invited the eldest sister for prayers after she rejected his advances and eventually raped her and others at different times.

“When the complainants (victims) discovered that the pastor has been taking sexual advantage of them, they stopped attending the church and the development made the pastor to threaten that calamity would befall them,” the police report said.

Upon arraignment, the court did not take the plea of the accused person.

Magistrate Salihu, who ruled that the court lacks jurisdiction to take the pastor’s plea, ordered that he be remanded pending DPP’s advice.

The case was adjourned till September 14, 2022 for mention.
