Gunmen kidnap CAN chairman, demand N20m ransom

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Nasarawa State, Joseph Masin, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Thursday.

The abductors have also contacted the family and demanded N20m ransom for his release, Tayo Samuel, the CAN Vice Chairman in the state, said.

According to the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe, the bishop was kidnapped in his house at Bukan-sidi in Lafia around 12:39 a.m.

Longe however noted that the police have mobilised officers as well as hunters to rescue the victim alive.
