Coronavirus: Cases in Nigeria now 44 as Bauchi gets first patient

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday announced two new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 44.

The centre made this known through its Twitter handle on Tuesday.

“2 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 1 in the Federal Capital Territory and one in Bauchi.

“The cases have travel history to Germany and the United Kingdom.

“As of 06:25 pm on the 24th of March, there are 44 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death,” the tweet read.

It would be recalled that the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, and Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.
