Borno: Drugs, equipment stolen as suspected terrorists invade hospital

Gunmen suspected to be terrorists on Friday invaded the Monguno General Hospital in Borno state and carted away drugs and other hospital equipment.

Sources in the town say they came in through the water board camp and left quietly without hurting anyone after their mission. They also reportedly looted the belongings of displaced persons living behind the hospital.

This came coming a day after the Theatre Command of Operation Lafia Dole accused a Non Governmemetal Organisation, Action Against Hunger (AAH), of aiding and abetting terrorists in the North East by supplying them food and drugs.

However, report says the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army had dispatched personnel and equipment to strategic locations to forestall chances of looting of armaments in the event of infiltration.
