Bandits attack Kaduna viilage, wreak havoc (Photos)

Armed men popularly referred to as bandits have attacked Adei village of Kutura station, Tantatu ward of Kajuru Local Government area of Kaduna state, killing two residents and razing down houses.

Newsafresh gathered that one of the male deceased had his head and hands chopped off after he was killed..

A former chairman of Kajuru Local Government explained that the bandits initially attacked some of the adjoining communities on Tuesday, razed down houses and shot sporadically, but later came to Adei community on Friday afternoon to wreak havoc.

Reports say over 30 houses and a church of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) were burned down during the attack which made residents flee the area.

Tension has also built up as the whereabouts of Head of Kutura community, Joseph Ayuba, is unknown as at the time of filing this report.

It would be recalled that the local government has been facing security issues ranging from banditry to communal clashes between the Fulanis and the Adara natives, leaving hundreds dead and several injured.
