The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ayetoro Ekiti Ward One, Ido/Osi Local Government area of Ekiti State, has suspended five members over anti-party activities and other related offences.
The five persons are: Hon. Kayode Aina, Olaiya Olatunji, Olaosebikan Jimoh, Oladunjoye Segun Lawrence and Bashorun Dare Owotomobi.
The ward chairman, Yinka Ajewole who spoke with newsmen on the action taken by the party explained that it has also been brought to the attention of the party executives that the suspended persons have not refrained from misconduct and flouting of party rules.
He said the accused persons are being sponsored by a rival political party against the APC, hence their denunciation of the party and its chairmanship candidate.
He therefore called on relevant security agencies to be on red alert against nefarious activities that might be perpetrated by the suspended members.
