The wife and daughter of the Commissioner of Environment in Plateau State, Idi Bamaiyi, have been kidnapped.
Newsafresh gathered that both mother and daughter were abducted on Saturday morning by gunmen who invaded the home of the commissioner in Gindiri township of Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
The daredevils were said to have forced their way into the house in the early hours and operated unhindered for about an hour while blocking the major roads in the towns before whisking the victims away.
Reports say the incident had been reported to security agencies in a bid to ensure safe return of the abductees.
Recall that Gindiri and its environs have been under series of attacks by gunmen in the past few weeks and witnessed several abduction of residents.
