Barely 24 hours after the arrest of Corporal Ozimende Aidonojie and Constable Salubi Stephen of the Edo State Police Command for allegedly fighting in public, authorities of the Nigeria Police have dismissed the officers.
Aidonojie with service no F/NO 41112 and Stephen, F/NO 516384, were seen in a viral video, posted by @ParodySpokesman on Twitter, attacking each other physically and were subsuquently arrested.
Members of the public alleged that they attacked each other over a bribe collected from a suspect.
According to the Force Public Relations Department, the officers ”captured in a viral video fighting shamelessly in Edo State have been tried and found guilty. They have been dismissed from the Force”.
