Aero-Civil Engineering and consultancy firm, JM & AS Limited, has felicitated the government and people of Yobe State for the successful hosting of President Muhammadu Buhari, who was in the state recently to inaugurate the international cargo airport constructed for the state government.
JM & AS delivered to the state government infrastructure such as the airport’s runway, terminal building, taxi way, control tower, apron, rescue & firefighting service and related infrastructure for the airport to attain international standard.
The company noted that the contract was “executed to standard, built to specification and was delivered in time for inauguration for use by President Muhammadu Buhari. Of a fact, the President and other dignitaries like the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan; Service Chiefs among others landed at the airport in Damaturu, which was named after him by the Yobe State government.”

In a related development, the Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, has appealed to the Federal Government to take over the airport, a development experts said was aimed at ensuring a better use and proper maintenance of the ultra-modern airport constructed by the indigenous JM & AS Limited.
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, during a banquet in Honour of President Buhari, appealed to the president to approve the takeover of the Yobe State International Cargo Airport by the Federal Government and the refund of N38 billion expended by the state government on the project.
Governor Buni also requested the Federal Government to takeover the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, including the maternity and child health complex.
