Ekiti Trade Commissioner reiterates support for investors

Ekiti State Commissioner For Trade and Industry, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, has assured interested individuals and corporate organisations that have genuine business road maps of government’s support towards their investment in the state.

Aare Olumilua gave the assurance while hosting representatives of a Non-Governmental Organization, Ekiti Enterprise Challenge, in his office in Ado-Ekiti.

Olumilua reiterated the commitment of the Fayemi-led administration to the provision of an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

The Commissioner said that the focus of the ministry is to eradicate poverty, adding that government would however not tolerate attempts to scam people in the state under the guise of investment.

He emphasized that any organization intending to establish a business must be focused, truthful and sincere to obtain any support from the state.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Ekiti Enterprise Challenge, Engr. Ojo Dare, who spoke through the team leader, Mr. Michael Peculiar, explained that the focus of the organisation is to discover and mentor young, brilliant and creative potential entrepreneurs between ages 18 and 35.

Engr. Dare said that the organisation intends to promote made-in-Ekiti products to international level, adding that prospective beneficiaries of their project must be indigenes doing business in the state.

He solicited the support of state to access the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment towards attaining the goals of their organisation.

Also present at the meeting was the Director General, Micro-finance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA), Otunba Kayode Fasae.
