EFCC invades Ambode’s Epe home

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly raided the Epe home of the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday.

The EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, who confirmed the raid, however said the operatives were there strictly to investigate.

According to him, “It is not true, we don’t raid. Investigation is on-going in respect of the petition we have, that is why we are here.

Recall that about two weeks ago, Justice Chuka Obiozor of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, ruled that the sum of N9.9bn belonging to the Lagos State government but linked to former governor Ambode be frozen.
