The immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has dumped the People’s Democratic Party for the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Dogara also visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja, on Friday.
He was led to the president’s office in the state House by the Chairman of APC Caretaker/National Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, who intimated Buhari of the latest development in the party.
Dogara, who currently represents Bogoro/Dass, Nigeria/Tafawa Balewa, Federal constituency of Bauchi State, has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2007.
Dogara left the APC for the PDP in 2018.
