COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now 2,950

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rose to 2,950 on Tuesday as 148 new infections were recorded in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily update on Twitter.

The centre also said a total of 481 patients have been discharged while 98 deaths were recorded.

The breakdown of the new cases was:

14-Zamfara
10-FCT
9-Katsina
7-Taraba
6-Borno
6-Ogun
5-Oyo
3-Edo
3-Kaduna
3-Bauchi
2-Adamawa
2-Gombe
1-Plateau
1-Sokoto
1-Kebbi

Nigeria currently has coronavirus cases in thirty-four states and Abuja while Kogi and Cross River have not reported any infections.
