COVID-19: Buhari not addressing Nigerians today

After the much anticipated presidential address supposedly slated for today, Monday, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, has said the president will not address the nation.

The address is expected as the first phase of lockdown easing in the last two weeks ends tonight.

According to Adesina via his verified Twitter handle, @FemAdesina, the address was not planned but the Presidential Task Force will brief the media as usual.

He tweeted, ”No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.”
