The abducted Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo Ora, Mr Opadijo Oluyide, and four others have regained their freedom after reportedly paying N5m ransom.
Mr Oluyide, Gbenga Alayande who is the scribe of the union, and three others were said to be released on Saturday evening after their abductors collected the said amount.

Report says the kidnappers initially demanded for the sum of N500m, but members of staff of the tertiary institution contributed N5m and paid before the victims were released.
A source told journalists on Saturday night: “We just secured their release this night after payment of N5million contributed by our members.
“I want to tell you that we have lost confidence in the Nigeria Police Force. Those who kidnapped our leaders were Fulani.
“We are going to stage a protest to the government secretariat to remove totally the ‘Kara’ market in this area. We will down tools until the market is totally removed.”
