Detectives of the Ondo State Police Command have launched a manhunt for the parents of a 4-year-old girl who was reportedly beaten to death in Akure following an information provided by popular Nigerian Rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens (Ruggedman).
Ruggedman had on Wednesday night informed the Nigeria Police about the incident via his Twitter handle, @RuggedyBaba, after an earlier information by Oluyemi Fasipe (@YemieFASH).
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Femi Joseph, while confirming the development said detectives have been deployed to the Ondo State Teaching Hospital in Akure to arrest suspects.
While a report said it was the mother that beat the young girl to death and later escaped with her corpse from the hospital on Wednesday night after confirming her demise, another said it was the father.
