Armed robbers on Thursday afternoon attacked two commercial banks in Iree, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.
Reports say the daredevils stormed the United Bank of Africa, UBA, and Access Bank in the town as a stray bullet killed a policeman identified as Dauda Jelili Kayode.
The robbers, who arrived the banks located around 3:50 pm, were said to have operated for about 15 minutes before escaping through Ada town.
While confirming the incident, Osun State Police Public Relations officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, said the police tactical team are in pursuit of the armed robbers.
