We’ll not allow marginalisation in APC – Progressive Youth Movement

The Progressive Youth Movement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared not to allow themselves to be sidelined nor marginalized in the running of the party any longer.

The youth at a southwest town meeting held in Ado-Ekiti at the weekend with the theme “Ready to lead, Now or Never” said they would continue to make sure that things are put in order so that Nigerian youths do not suffer more pains.

The Chairman, Youth Progressive Movement, Princess Zahra Mustapha Audu, said, “The party that we see today is not the party they toiled and work hard to build with their sweat, blood and money”, adding that “all young people are coming together to speak with one voice to take back the party, hence the town hall meeting”.

According to her, “We must continue to make intentional steps towards our goals to put the party on the right track. We would be an integral part in deciding who the next President of Nigeria would be, who the next National Chairman of APC would be, that is our goals for the party”

“We are not going to allow those who come and make promises and failed in our party.  We must put the right people within the party and we must produce the right President for the country and we must retain the President in APC.”

Princess Audu noted that currently, the movement can boast of over 20 million members and still counting.

“The talk about future  leaders of tomorrow is today. Tomorrow has come and today is now for the youths of the country and they are ready to take power.

“We are truly behind every young voices that are clamouring for change in Nigeria, enough is enough, we are suffocating, we need this change now.”

While speaking at the APC town hall meeting, Engr. Adekunle Martins pointed out that the purpose of the gathering was for the future of the youths.

He urged them to begin to assume responsibility and recognition as young stakeholders that are relevant to make a difference in societal change in the party.
