A women support group for the actualisation of victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettiman, Tinubu Titans, has inaugurated grassroot women mobilisers in EKiti State.
At the APC State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti, women from across the sixteen local government areas in the three senatorial districts of the state came to show their solidarity with the presidential candidate a d his vice.
The National Director General of the Tinubu Titan, Hon. Dr (Mrs) Mojisola Yahaya-Kolade, a former Commissioner for Health and currently Federal Commissioner for Compensations, said the existence of the group in the past two years was borne out of the genuine search for a purposeful leadership for the nation.
According to her, it is high time citizens stood to rescue the nation from political hijackers while placing the baton in the hands of results-oriented leaders with track records.
Yahaya-Kolade explained that the national government of the APC had restored the nation to the path of development, noting that Nigerians cannot afford to go back to another era of political slavery and corruption, hence the reason the women of the Tinubu Titans are transversing the length and breadth of the country to seek support for Tinubu and Shettima.
She charged members of the group in the state to take the gospel to the nooks and crannies of the state, assuring them that administration of Tinubu will bring succour and a lasting solutions to the myriads of problems bedeviling the nation.
According to her, “I live in Lagos and I also live in Ekiti. I know what Lagos State used to be before the emergence of Tinubu as the Governor of the state. Lagos is a litmus test for him and we strongly believe that he is going to replicate the miracles he did in Lagos to fix Nigeria.
“We must move forward from where we are. Our children need employment, we all need security, we need economic prosperity, we want this nation to be united and devoid of ethnic, tribal and religious differences.
“The only man at this moment who has shown the charisma, pedigree, antecedent and commitment is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He loves the women folks and he is very ready to carry us on his shoulders. Nigeria cannot pray nor go for the less.
“We have our soldiers in the field in Ekiti and across Nigeria, we will deliver this nation for progress. Let’s us focus on the current deliverables and forget sorrowful histories and saddening political stories of how Awolowo and MKO Abiola lost elections. This time, we will deliver Nigeria.”
Also, the National Convener of the Tinubu Titans, Mrs Olubunmi Bello, said Nigerians are now more exposed and committed to halting the politics of mediocrity, the reason the group is mobilising seriously and aggressively to ensure victory for the party.
She declared Ekiti State a complete no-go area for the opposition, boasting that the people will deliver 98 percent for Bola Tinubu.
In her words: “This is a group of women achievers, those who have made landmark impacts in various endeavours and ready to salvage the nation from the shackles of cankerworms.
“Those ranting on the social media should continue, election is not done on the social media, we are taking the bull by the horn, going from house to house at the grassroot and winning souls into the progressive train.
“This has not just started, it is a long-time thing. We are seeing results of our mobilisation and we are happy. Nigeria cannot afford trial by error again. We want a leader who will end the women marginalization. We have seen all these qualities in Asiwaju and there is no going back in delivering the this aspiration.”
Bello charged women to get their PVC and vote en masse for the APC candidates come 25th of February.
Yahaya Kolade and Bello gave kudos to the efforts of the state Coordinator for the achievement so far in preaching the gospel of hope and renewal for Nigeria as well as taking the message to the street and farmstead.
Also the state coordinator of the Tinubu Titans Hon. Mrs Ayo Olajide Fatunmbi, said the project is a no-going-back mission, expressing confidence in the capacity, competence and charisma of Tinubu.
Also at the occasion were Mrs Margaret Fagboyo, among other political stalwarts in the state.
The women collectively reminded the candidates not to forget their assurance of the 35% women allocation in political offices.
