The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers in the deep forest of Ijan-Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.
Abdullahi Musa, 38, Abdullahi Ali, 21 and Abdullahi Suleiman, 19, were arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad and vigilantes.
A statement by the Command’s spokesman, ASP Sunday Abutu, said the trio confessed to participating in kidnapping operations in the state, including two incidents in Ikere-Ekiti.
The suspects, Abutu said, further disclosed that they belonged to a 7-man syndicate, adding that their accomplices are currently at large.
Meanwhile, effort is ongoing to apprehend fleeing members of the gang.
