As part of the efforts of Kwara State government to ensure access to good roads and free flow of traffic, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Suleiman Rotimi, yesterday visited the Box Culvert at Jengbe, within the Ilorin metropolis, where he charged the relevant agency to resume work immediately.
While mobilising the Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency (KWARMA), Engr. Balogun maintained that the completion of Jengbe Box Culvert was paramount, considering the nearness of raining season.
He therefore gave the assurance that work will be completed in three weeks in order to ease flow of vehicular movement and activities in the area.
The Commissioner further reiterated government’s commitment towards ensuring a qualitative infrastructural service delivery.
Engr. Rotimi had, over the weekend, inspected some major road works.
In a statement by his Press Secretary, Mansurat Amuda-Kannike, the Commissioner visited Idiape area linking Gambari, where he noted the need for urban renewal.
Engr. Rotimi who also visited Offa to access the condition of Owode – Ikotun road which was in a sad state assured the people of the area of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s vision to give a facelift to some major areas across the state through improvement of essential social amenities.
