Founded in 1960, the Nigerian Army is the largest component within the Nigerian Armed Forces.
As at 2016, it boasted of 200,000 personnel strength.
The Nigerian Army Depot, Zaria, Kaduna State, serves as the training location for Regular Recruits who undergo intensive and rigorous military training.
