Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has responded to calls by various groups to contest the presidential seat in 2023.
The ex-president said he could not, at the moment of speaking, tell if he will run for the number one seat.
Jonathan gave the response while addressing supporters who besieged his office in Abuja on Friday.
According to Jonathan, “I cannot tell if I’m contesting.
“Yes, you are calling me to come and declare. I cannot tell you I am declaring now but the political process is still ongoing.”
The supporters, in their various groups, had arrived his office with a musical band around 8:50am and urged him to run for the position so as to eradicate hunger, insecurity, unemployment and other societal issues.
According to them, the problems ravaging the country at the moment began after he left office, as Nigerians have turned to beggars because of the unfavourable policies of the present administration.
