Parents cry out over missing two-year-old in Ondo village

The parents of a two-year-old girl in Atamo, near Epe, in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Amirat Omotayo, has cried out over her disappearance.

Amirat was said to have left home last week Sunday and has not returned at the time of filing this report.

According to the father, Mr Akeem Omotayo, Amirat was taken to her paternal grand-mothers house on the said day because he and her mother were travelling to Ondo town, but the incident occurred before they could even leave the village.

Omotayo said the alarm of Amirat’s disappearance was raised while they where already on the bus which was still at the park.

Newsafresh.com gathered that it was when the elder sibling wanted to pick her from their grandmother’s after her breakfast was prepared that it was discovered she had left the house. It was initially believed she went out to play with her friends but curiosity set in when she did not return and could not be found anywhere.

According to the father, the family did not deserve the unfortunate turn of event as Amirat’s birth came after years of waiting. He therefore appealed to the government and anyone who could help in finding Amirat to assist the family.

The case was reported at the nearest police station and investigation has commenced.

SP Memude Muyiwa, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Bolorunduro Division, confirmed the incident, stating that all hands are already on deck to find Amirat.
