A 23-year-old lady, Deborah Nwachukwu, has been arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stealing a Toyota SUV, two Samsung S10 phones, wrist watch, designer perfume and some cash.
Nwachukwu was said to have stolen the items from one Patrick of MKO Street, Ikeja, the state capital.
According to the state police spokesperson, Bala Elkana, the Ikeja Police Station received a complaint from Patrick on October 21 that the suspect, an indigene of Abia State and a resident of No 19, Irewale Street, Ipade area, Lagos, had on Sunday, October 20, stolen from him.
According to Patrick, he met the suspect at Shoprite in Ikeja selling some cleaning products for a company and they agreed to a payment of N20,000 for her services. He said he subsequently invited Deborah to his house to help him clean his apartment before she perpetrated the act.
When interrogated, Deborah however added that the invitation was not just for cleaning of the house but for sexual reasons. She said that after having sex, she noticed that Patrick was deeply asleep and she quickly took his two phones, wrist watch, designer perfume, some cash and his SUV and escaped from the house after locking him up in the room.
A team of detectives, led by the Divisional Police Officer Ikeja, CSP Gbenga Ogunsaki, however arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen items.
Meanwhile, the police says the suspect has been charged to court and remanded in correctional custody.
