Super Eagles star and Bordeaux winger, Samuel Kalu, has resumed training behind closed doors on Sunday after recovering from coronavirus.
The 22-year-old tested positive for COVID-19 after he returned from Nigeria and was quarantined for two weeks afterward.
“Kalu has returned to training this morning (on Sunday) after recovering from COVID-19,” the club wrote on Twitter.
He missed Bordeaux’s pre-season friendlies against Angers and Saint Etienne but he is expected to play a part in their test game against Toulouse on Tuesday.
After starting his career at GBS Academy in Jos, Nigeria, Kalu had gone on to play at Slovak’s AS Trenčín and Belgian KAA Gent before signing for Bordeaux in August 2018.
He scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in October, 2018, as a final goal in a 4-0 victory against Libya.
