The Kaduna State Councillors Forum has condemned the action of Abdul Adamu Kinkiba, a Councillor in Soba Local Government Area arrested by security operatives with an AK-47 rifle, describing his apprehension as an answered prayer.
The forum made this known in a statement signed by its Chairman and Afaka Ward Councillor, Hon Auwal Sani Mohammed.
“What he did was not in the interest of councillors and the forum will never support such act.
“As you can recall, the forum met during Eid-el-Fitr celebration, where they prayed that God should end the insecurity bedeviling the nation,” the forum said.
Mohammed said God had started answering their prayers, adding that the suspect did it on his personal capacity as Abdullahi Adamu, not as a Councillor.
He therefore called on security operatives to investigate the issue thoroughly and if the accused is found guily, he should be made to face the full wrath of the law.
