I also wish to appreciate our dear President on his initiative on Nelfund, which has been assisting millions of Nigerian students in public varsities to assess education . This is a highly laudable initiative and we really appreciate him for this .
We acknowledge the persistent issues surrounding unstable Internet and mobile network access which pose a significant challenge to both academic and social life. I. One-day Vice-Chancellor addresses the Press
Mental health remains a vital , though often underemphasized, ,component of student well being . We are proposing  partnership between the University’s Guidance and Counseling unit and the University Health Centre to launch a sustained mental health advocacy campaign . This initiative focuses on awareness-rasing , de-stigmatization, and improving access to psychological support, planned activities include periodic mental health outreach programmes, peer support groups, and collaboration, with medical professionals to provide counseling and emergency response services. We encourage the University community to prioritize mental well-being just as highly as physical health.
Economic hardship is a daily challenge for many students. In response, we have drafted a proposal for the establishment of a campus l-based commercial market where price -regulated, affordable essentials will be within easy reach. It will also support student-led enterprises and create part-time employment opportunities we believe this will foster economic inclusivity and significantly reduce the need for off-campus dependence.
To promote academic excellence and improve examination preparedness, we are proud to present FUOYE 360-a digital archive initiative developed by semi-finalists of the One-Day Vice-Chancellor programme. Miss. Sanyaolu Mosopefoluwa,. FUOYE 360 is an accessible platform offering past examination questions across all facilities and departments. Its purpose to encourage informed learning, ease academic anxiety, and provide equal access to essential academic recourses. We recommend that the University’s academic unit collaborate either to expend this platform, improving visibility and accessibility for student use.
