Members of staff, Progress FM 100.5 Ado-Ekiti, have passed a vote of confidence on the administration of Lion Rotimi Ojomoyela even as they described him as a leader touching lives in the last three years of his administration as the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Ekiti State Council.
They made the commendation on Monday during a campaign tour to the station as part of the activities of the Ojomoyela Campaign Organisation (OCO) towards the forthcoming NUJ election.
Speaking on behalf of the Editorial members, Mr Kayode Babatuyi said the first three years of Ojomoyela and his team has brought a tremendous achievements to the council.
He mentioned some of the achievements recorded by his team in which some of the station’s members have benefited to include training, workshops and seminars, among others.
Similarly, two senior officers of the station, Mr. Bunmi Oluwalana and Revd Oladeji Bankole commended Ojomoyela for his achievement in the last three years of his administration.
The duo promised to vote for his team en masse during the election, warning him to learn from the mistake of past leaders of the union and be more transparency during second term in office.
Responding, Ojomoyela thanked members of staff of the station for the support given to him and his members during the last three years of his administration.
Ojomoyela used the occasion to reel out some of the achievements recorded by his administration to include training of members in seminars and workshops, upgrading of the press centre, post-retirement welfare scheme for veteran journalists, among others.
He urged them to continue to support his team, while assuring them of his continuous representation to portray the union in good light within and outside the state.
Also, at the Federal Information Chapel, the Head of Unit, Mr. Toyin Sonibare, welcome Ojomoyela and his team to the organisation as he lauded him for bringing back peace to the union in the state.
He equally assured him that his organisation would continue to support him to replicate his gesture and activities in the union, which he said has brought about positive development.
