Ekiti ANA hosts Ido-Ekiti born winner of 2024 NLNG Prize, Olubunmi Familoni

The state chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), alias EkANA, has concluded plans to host the newest winner of the Nigeria Prize for Literature,
Olubunmi Familoni, who hailed from Ido-Ekiti, in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State. The Nigeria Prize for Literature is an annual award founded by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas company (NLNG), thus, it is christened the NLNG Prize. It currently worths a whooping $100,000!.
Olubunmi Familoni won the 2024 NLNG prize for his children’s book entitled: “The Road Does Not End!” . This well deserved win came from the Nigeria LNG Grand Award night, in which the judges praised all the shortlisted authors, and highlighted Familoni’s skill as an author.
The Nigeria Prize for Literature is one of the top ten richest literary prizes in the world.  Since its creation in 2004, the NLNG Prize has promoted Nigerian literature and garnered international renown. Each year, the award rotates between four genres: prose fiction, poetry, drama, and children’s fiction, and this year children’s books was the focus..
Familoni will read excerpts from his works, especially from his book that has won the NLNG Prize, on May 21, 2025 at the Farm, Senator Babafemi Ojudu ‘s residence along EKSU road, Ado-Ekiti.
Members of the public, especially book enthusiasts, academics, students and youths are welcome to join ANA to celebrate the Guest Author/Reader at 3:30 pm on May 21.
