Eid-el-Kabir: Buhari’s DG, Osinkolu greets Muslims, calls for restraint

The Director General, Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Council in Ekiti State, Dr Olusegun Osinkolu, has charged Muslims  to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation by refraining from acts that could promote disunity, in the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Osinkolu stated this in a congratulatory message to Muslims in Ado Ekiti on Thursday marking the celebration of the 2019 edition of Eid-el-Kabir.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain appealed to Muslim faithfuls to continually pray for the country at this critical period and to coalesce efforts with the governments in halting the malaise of kidnapping, killings and rising crimes.
He implored Nigerians, especially Muslims, to use the festive period to offer prayers for the country in order to overcome her hydra-headed challenges in a short while.
Osinkolu saluted the roles of Muslims in nation building, adding that their prayers, dedication and good sense of sacrifices had helped tremendously in unifying the country and putting it on a faster lane of economic recovery.
“I want to congratulate our Muslim brethren for witnessing this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration. I want to charge them to be guided by the teachings of Islam which ordered every human to seek peace with fellow men and shun evil.
“We should all imbibe the culture of holiness, sacrifice, love, peace, unity and respect for leadership as contained in the Holy Book. This remains a veritable way to fast-track national growth and development.
“It is a fact that our nation is bedeviled at this critical time. Rather than engaging in finger-pointing, let us all come together in one spirit to seek for God’s intervention.
“I join myriad of Nigerians to wish our Muslim brethren a happy and rewarding celebration.”
