Celebrated Nigerian author and feminist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has urged single ladies to choose wisely their life partners.
She noted that many women settled for less due to desperation.
Speaking at a function, the renowned author, who is married to Dr Ivara Esege, boasted that she made a wise choice.
She urged women to be very careful with who they choose as their partner.
Adichie said, “It’s really important who you choose. Young women, choose wisely. Sometimes as young women, you can tell the person you are with is not really a good person but you’re desperate to get married or have a partner. Don’t settle, be very careful who you choose. The person you chose as your life partner would make a huge difference in your life.
“If you choose somebody who is kind and supportive, it will make all of the difference. So, I can tell you that I chose well. There are some good men left [laughs].”
