Crown Polytechnic gets new registrar

The management of Crown Polytechnic, Odo Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State has approved the appointment of Sunday Alagbe, popularly known as Otunba, as the Acting Registrar of the institution.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Stephen Ajagbe, disclosed that his appointment takes effect immediately.

Alagbe’s appointment was announced on Tuesday by the Rector of the institution, Kolawole Ajisola, in a meeting held at the Council Chambers of the school.

Present at the meeting were members of staff of Registry and Rectory departments who pledged their supports for the new registrar.

Ajisola admonished the new appointee to remain focused and build on the successes of the immediate past registrar, Dr Julius Akinwuni, and to carry all the staff working with him along to ensure smooth-running of the activities in his department and the school at large.

He called for the cooperation and supports of all members of staff to make the new registrar succeed in his new post.

Some members of staff who also spoke at the meeting assured the new Acting Registrar of their total support.

The Director of Students Affairs, Ibrahim Bello, who also buttressed the Rector’s remark, advised the new appointee to imbibe the spirit of oneness and always allow his office to be opened for public opinion and suggestions that could move the institution forward.

Responding, Alagbe appreciated the Executive Proprietor of the institution, Olufemi Ajisola Esq, for the confidence he has in him and for appointing him into such elevated position.

He promised never to let the management of the institution down and to do all his best to carry every members of staff along.

The new registrar was received with a rousing welcome and cheers by members of the Registry department of the institution.

A special prayer session was held in his office for God’s guidance and wisdom for him to pilot the affairs of the school successfully.

Alagbe has served in various capacity in Crown Polytechnic, the recent being the Director of Students Affairs and Director, exams and records.
