COVID-19: New cases recorded in 18 states, FCT as total hits 2,388

Nigeria on Saturday recorded 220 new cases of coronavirus in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this on its Twitter handle.

The centre tweeted, ”220 new cases of #COVID19;

Discharged: 385
Deaths: 85

”Two cases previously reported in Katsina were repeat tests.

”Therefore, as at 11:55pm May 2 2020, Katsina State has a total of 38 confirmed cases.”

The centre added a table showing the number of infected persons in each state as Kogi and Cross River remained the only states without coronavirus cases.
