COVID-19: More cases recorded in Lagos, Delta as total hits 288

More cases of coronavirus were on Thursday recorded in Lagos and Delta states as the total number of infected persons in Nigeria rose to 288.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known via its verified Twitter handle, @ncdcgov.

The centre also confirmed one new death, bringing the total number of deaths caused by the virus to seven.

The tweet read: ”Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 13 in Lagos and 1 in Delta State.

”As at 09:30 pm 9th April there are 288 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fifty-one have been discharged with seven deaths.”
