Cases of coronavirus in Nigeria on Monday exceeded 8,000 following 229 new cases recorded in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its Twitter handle, @ncdcgov, on Monday night.
The centre said Nigeria currently has 8,068 cases with 2,311 discharged patients and 233 death records.
