Bobby Shmurda to remain in jail until December 2021

American rapper, Bobby Shmurda, has been denied parole from New York State prison and will remain behind bars until the end of next year.

This followed an interview he had with the Board of Parole on September 15. According to New York State’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Bobby, whose name is Ackquille Pollard, was “given a hold until the maximum expiration of his sentence on December 11, 2021”.

Bobby has been behind bars since December 2014, serving some two years in city jail, followed by four years in state lockup.

He was initially charged with conspiracy to murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment. He was sentenced to seven years in prison after accepting a deal to plead guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy and 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession.

With the denial, he will now serve his complete jail term, which will end in December 2021.
