Bamidele salutes Muslims at Sallah, urges fervent prayers

The  Chairman Senate Committee on Judiciary, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has urged muslims to pray fervently for Nigerian’s survival at this critical time in its history.

The senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District appealed to Muslim Ummah to maintain their unending supplications for the nation to escape its present predicament.

In his congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid-el-Labir on Saturday, Bamidele appealed that prayers remain the strongest pillar and bond of unity of any nation, saying using this celebration to seek the face of God will benefit the country than the usual fanfare.

“I congratulate the Muslims all over the country for seeing yet another year to celebrate Sallah. It takes the grace of Almighty Allah for one to be alive, but the most beneficial aspect of the ceremony is for all of us to indoctrinate ourselves with the ideals of the love, contentment and  sacrifice exhibited by Prophet Ibrahim in the holy Quran.

“With love and sacrifice and ardent believe in contentment, all the evils like corruption, kidnapping, killings, prostitution, child trafficking, political thuggery, ritual killings, insurgency and other forms of criminalities manifesting in our body polity will be resolved naturally.

“It is time to come to terms with that staring reality that we need to erect a solid pillar of prayers for our leaders and nationals to be transformed in characters and for us to achieve economic growth and  development.

“Any nation that is questing for physical development without moral rejuvenation is only engaging in a wild goose chase.

“As I congratulate Muslims for their strong belief in the unity of our nation, I beseech them to sustain the tempo to further enhance peaceful co- existence among people of diverse religious inclinations in our dear land,” he said.
