The Nigeria Police on Friday assured a young woman assaulted in a viral video of justice as it says one more officer and a civilian have been arrested.
The latest arrest involved one Corporal Aiyedun Akeem and Ope Owoeye, a civilian accomplice known as ‘Wyclef’.
The video, which had since garnered public criticisms and anger, showed a University of Ibadan graduate in handcuffs been asked personal question about her sexuality after she was alleged arrested in company of a suspected armed robber and kidnapper.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, the latest development has brought to four the total number of persons arrested in connection with the unprofessional conduct.
He said in a statement, ”The two additional persons arrested are CPL Aiyedun Akeem and one Ope Owoeye – the civilian accomplice popularly known as ‘Wyclef’. Recall that ASP Tijani Olatunji and Inspr Gboyega were earlier arrested for their involvement in the case.
”Investigation is still ongoing after which the Force internal disciplinary procedures will commence for the officers.
”Meanwhile, Police Detectives from the State CID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos have established contact with the victim with assurances that justice will not only be done but will be seen to have been manifestly done.”
