Asefon visits FU-Dutse, charges VC on students welfare

The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Sunday Asefon, has charged the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State, Professor Abdulkarim Mohammed Sabo, to always lend listening ears to the plights of students.

He also urged the VC to ensure that he looks into their requests and respond proactively to ensure good welfarism.

Comrade Asefon stated this in a meeting with the Vice Chancellor in his office on Monday, December 21, 2020.

Asefon, who led other NANS executive members and stakeholders to the meeting, also highlighted the need to make FU-Dutse residential, demanding that the school management provides hostel accommodation for students to live on campus.

He further enjoined the school management to facilitate national and international leadership training for students’ leaders.

The NANS national head expressed optimism that the new VC would be a friend to students and a father to all through his activities.

Responding, Professor Mohammed Sabo congratulated Asefon on his electoral victory at the recently held convention.

He thereafter assured the NANS President of his cooperation, promising to grant students requests and work to promote the good legacy of the institution.
