The Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA), Ekiti Chapter, has organised weekly aerobic exercise for members to stay and keep fit after the lockdown.
FIDA’s Chairperson, Mrs Oluwatoyin Odunayo, made this known on Saturday during the aerobic exercise at the premises of the State High Court in Ado-Ekiti.
Mrs Odunayo said the weekly aerobic exercise would enable members to burn the excess fat accumulated during the stay-at-home period.
She stressed that regular exercise reduces the risk of health conditions like stroke and heart disease, and by extension controls weight, reduces stress and anxiety, while improving sleep and helping the heart function well.
The Chairperson therefore advised members on the need to eat healthy to stay fit, adding that they should stay away from foods poised to threatening their well-beings.
She maintained that women play great roles in the family, hence the need to set aside a day for exercises to improve their health.
She also used the medium to call on other associations to create time once in a week for exercise to improve the mental health of their members.
