Ekiti State on Sunday recorded two new cases of coronavirus a day after the announcement of same number of infections.
The state government made the announcement after a daily report by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which listed Ekiti as one of the 14 states with 661 new cases.
The government said the results of the new positive cases came back last night (Saturday).
The latest statistics has brought to 34 the total number of confirmed infections in the state with six active cases, 26 discharged patients and two deaths.
The state had earlier assured citizens of the versatility of the new molecular lab and health personnel in combating the virus, while urging residents to support the government in curtailing the pandemic.
