The Executive Chairman of Ado-Ekiti LG, Hon. Motunde Fajuyi, has commended Christ’s School Alumni Association (worldwide) for the distribution of relief packages to residents to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Hon. Motunde Fajuyi, who was at Christ’s School with the LG management team to take a portion of the gifts for distribution to beneficiaries at their respective homes, described the Alumni’s kind gesture as timely and best thing at this critical period.
The Chairman therefore urged Ado-Ekiti residents to adhere strictly to all precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus in Ekiti State, adding that all relevant stakeholders must join hands with the govt to tackle the pandemic.
The President of Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti Alumni Association, Rt. Hon. Chevailer Uduimo, thanked the Executive Chairman and all members of the association present for taking out time to attend the programme.
Uduimo, who spoke through a representative, said the distribution was in support of Ado-Ekiti LG Chairman who is an alumnus and also to complement the efforts of the state govt under the able leadership of another illustrious alumnus, Dr John Kayode Fayemi.
The Alumni President maintained that the relief packages were a way of identifying with the people and giving back to the society at this critical period of coronavirus pandemic.
The LG thereafter took a portion of the gifts to the homes of beneficiaries.
