The Federal Capital Territory, Ekiti State and 20 others on Friday recorded 238 new cases of coronavirus as total jumps to 2,170 in Nigeria.
The new daily number of cases is the highest so far.
Ekiti State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, had earlier said the three new cases in the state were females with ages ranging from 28-50 years.
Yaya-Kolade, who made this known through a statement, said the cases were primary contacts of the state’s third case, a 29-year-old mother who died on April 22 after childbirth complications.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its verified Twitter handle on Friday, 68 death have been recorded while 351 patients recovered across the country.
