The COVID-19 pandemic has spread to 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory as total number of cases rose to 1,728 in Nigeria.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made disclosed this via its Twitter handle on Wednesday as it reported 196 new cases, the highest daily number of cases so far.
The centre tweeted, ”196 new cases of #COVID19 reported;

”As at 11:55pm 29th April- 1728 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.”
NCDC added that 307 patients have been discharged while 51 deaths were recorded.
