Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has tested negative for coronavirus two days after he took the test.
Fayemi gave the information via his verified Twitter handle, @kfayemi, on Friday.
The governor had announced that he went into self-isolation on Tuesday and subsequently took the test on Wednesday.
He added that the move was important because he had been in meetings with two people who later tested positive.
In his latest tweet, the governor said: ”I just received my test result from NCDC and it is negative. Thanks to all for your concern. This, however, calls for continued vigilance on the part of everyone. Covid-19 is real and we cannot afford to be complacent. JKF.”
