The Central Bank of Nigeria on Sunday extended deadline for the swapping of old naira with new notes till February 10, 2023.
This was contained in a statement by the apex bank.
This is coming after persuasions from citizens and stakeholders who cited short notice given for the swap.
Earlier, banks in Nigeria had announced collection of old notes by all branches during the weekend to meet the initial January 31st deadline.
