Former Governors of Akwa Ibom and Ogun states, Godswill Akpabio and Ibikunle Amosun, have stepped down for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the ongoing All Progressives Congress presidential primary.
Akpabio, a former Senate Minority Leader, said he made the decision to support a leader with ‘sight and vision’ who turned around the fortune of Lagos State.
Amosun is a current senator representing Ogun Central.
In his remarks, Amosun said he made the decision in the spirit of harmony to give the mandate to a Southern aspirant who is competent.
